How many numbers does art need?

“Too many” many will think. But a structured set of figures - starting with the calculation, through the ongoing cost determination to the final statement - lays the foundation for the financial success of a report, documentary or cinema documentary. So that this is easy to handle, the seminar provides the participants with the basic knowledge of bookkeeping and film management step by step. From the "basic" - treatment/screenplay - to a "tour" through all departments, the speaker Gabriele Müller discusses in two modules (each 2-day seminars) all the essential elements of a cinema documentary film calculation, including settlement with the film subsidy.

Gabriele Müller: After graduating with a degree in economics from the University of Cologne, Gabriele Müller started working at Columbia Tristar Film- und Fernsehproduktion GmbH as an assistant to the film management. She then went to Austria as film manager for an ARD pre-evening series. Back in Cologne, she took over the commercial management of Lichtblick Film- und Fernsehenproduktion GmbH from 2001-2010, which develops and produces documentaries and feature films for the German and European market. Since 2011 she has been advising filmmakers with her company "Gräfin Zahl" on all matters relating to numbers, conducts final examinations for film productions and teaches at irregular intervals.
